The anti-national activity case filed against Thirumurugan Gandhi had been dismissed by the Chennai Egmore high court yesterday. The coordinator of the May 17 organization, Thirumurugan Gandhi had been slapped with a case under two sections, and he was arrested under prohibition and prevention of anti national acts law.
In such a scenario, the case had come to hearing in the Chennai Egmore high court yesterday, and the justice had refused to order the imprisonment of Thirmurugan Gandhi under anti national act sections. Besides, the cases filed against Thirmurugan Gandhi under the UAPA act had been dismissed by the High court.
This has been a sensational move , as the government reportedly had been keen to have Thirumurugan Gandhi arrested, as they made him come from his UN meeting, and waited to get him arrested, and was transported from Bangalore to Chennai, and was slapped with cases in different sections.
